On 16th January 1983, a school was founded in Kapurthala by a prominent Indian, intellectual and educator Sh.Joginder Kumar Sharma. He has immortalized the name of his worthy father Late Lala Jhanda Mal Ji by starting “Jhanda Mal Memorial School, Kapurthala” in the sweet memory of his respected father for the welfare of common man.
He envisioned a new kind of academic institution,an innovative school where faculty and studentswould be free to honestly and directly address the problems being faced in the 20th century.
Sh. Joginder Kumar Sharma, President of J.K. Educational Society, Kapurthala is a noble soul like his respected father who influenced him to start the school for a noble cause by imparting world class education to the younger generation of Kapurthala and the surrounding area as per the dream of his father, Late Lala Jhanda Mal Ji.
From the beginning, Sh. Joginder Kumar Sharma , President of J.K. Educational Society was eager to create a school of advanced elementary education to bring creative scholars together with citizens interested in improving their understanding of the key issues of today through active questioning, debate and discussion.
The founder named the new school, “New Era International School”. The new school was started on 6th March,2016 to solve the problems of 21th century.
